How to count number of elements of a list in a pythonic way?
I know the numpy.count_nonzero method but I feel it is not pythonic. Is there a more pythonic way of achieving the same thing?
Here is an example:
import numpy as np
a = np.array([1,2,3,4,5])
Now the function I'm looking for is this:
def count_elems(a):
# code here
So count_elems(a) should return 5, as 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 have been counted.
